Meital Mangisto, member of the Ethiopian community, was born in Israel in 1994. She became the first girl of the Ethiopian community to obtain a civilian pilot license in Israel. A resident of the city of Kfar Saba, Meital graduated high school in her city and received her high school diploma after specializing in chemistry and the social sciences.
In 2010, while at high school, Meital participated in a youth delegation to the city of Colombo, USA, as part of city alliance between Kfar Saba and Colombo. The main goal of the delegation was to enhance the connection between Israeli youth and Jewish-American youth. Prior to that trip to Colombo, Meital volunteered in Kfar Saba kindergartens. Before drafting to the IDF, in 2014, Meital did a year's service in Kibbutz Mahanayim as coordinator of Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed youth movement.
Meital Mangisto is currently serving in the Israeli Air Force. She is a classy young girl with high ability in various fields. Meital is highly motivated to serve in the IDF and to contribute from her qualifications and ability.
